Story of Think Ghana

Peace and Livelihood Support Organization is a grassroots based non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization seeking to promote community empowerment and development. We work to re-build rural communities that has been affected by years of conflicts and neglect as well as dreadful government policies

We advocate for the protection of human and environmental rights, means of livelihoods and development as well as sustaining cultural inheritance of the people. Our innovative and responsive intervention addresses some of the pressing challenges in the community where we work.

Peace and Livelihood Support Organization engaged community through participatory capacity building training support, partnership with community and civil society groups to advocate for change and lasting solutions to critical issues that affect their environment and community needs.

Think Ghana Structure consists of the Advisory Board, Board of Directors and the Secretariat. The Advisory Board has three members, while the Board of Directors has six members, eight staff in the Secretariat and about twenty volunteers.

Think Ghana was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as a Charity organization on the 15th August, 2013 with the Charity number CAC/IT/NO 63280. Think Ghana have been working on several projects ranging from advocacy, conflicts and peace building, conservation, human rights, community empowerment in the Niger Delta states particularly Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Delta and Rivers State.

we are an emerging organization which evolves out of the need to address specific issues which most of the bigger organization seems to have ignore especially at the community level was formed to respond to the environmental, human rights, rural health, and underdevelopment problems plaguing the Niger Delta, with a special attention to people’s human, socio-economic, political, health and environmental rights that are frequently being violated, denied and neglected in the Niger Delta.
